Breaking the Unison

Breaking the Unison

Breaking the Unison introduces one of Rafael Anton Irisarri’s most delicate and introspective sound worlds yet. The track begins with trembling bowed-guitar tones that hover in a fragile balance, creating a sense of suspended time. Gradually, soft layers of low synth rise underneath, expanding the space without overwhelming it. The music feels as if it is slowly drifting out of alignment, capturing a quiet emotional fracture.

The piece carries a deep sense of distance and melancholy. Instead of building toward a climax, it gently unravels, leaving the listener with a lingering impression of something slipping away. It reflects isolation not through drama but through subtle, dissolving textures.

As a preview of Points of Inaccessibility, arriving February 6th 2026, Breaking the Unison sets the tone for an album shaped by themes of remoteness, memory and emotional drift. It suggests a work focused on atmosphere, resonance and the spaces between sounds.
